Many christians claim that:
The Ten Commandments are the basis for the morality of our western civilization.
The Ten Commandments are Gods perfect law. They were written to reveal sin and bring people to repentance.
The Ten Commandments are the basis of true morality.
In the early nineteenth century, Noah Webster, the developer of the American dictionary, stated, The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible. Citizen’s Rulebook, p. 8
The bible claims that jesus is god and god is jesus, they are 1 being and they always have been. This fraud will not benefit christian apologists.

Also,
Deuteronomy 6:13-16
13 Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. 14 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; 15 for the Lord your God , who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. 16 Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah.
Punishments:
Death to anyone having other gods:
~Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God
Deuteronomy 13:13-19
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.”
~Kill Followers of Other Religions.
Deuteronomy 13:7-12
7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again. 12 If you hear it said about one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in in your midst.
Deuteronomy 13:6-9
6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people.
Deuteronomy 17:2-5
Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death.

COMMANDMENT 2
Exodus 20:3-6
3 “You shall have no other gods before me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Punishments:
~Death to False Prophets
Deuteronomy 13:1-5
Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, ‘Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,’ do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul. Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22
But any prophet who claims to give a message from another god or who falsely claims to speak for me must die.’ You may wonder, ‘How will we know whether the prophecy is from the LORD or not?’ If the prophet predicts something in the LORD’s name and it does not happen, the LORD did not give the message. That prophet has spoken on his own and need not be feared.

So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother’s name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD’s will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Leviticus 24:13-16

will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”

12:10 “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be

On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.’

“But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself.”

“And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.”
***What is considered adultry by the bible? What did jesus say about adultry?

“I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

“Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.”

“And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”

***Jesus demands death for divorce!!!

COMMANDMENT 8
Exodus 20:15
You shall not steal.
Punishments:
Amazingly, the bible does not command death for general stealing.
***If a person thinks kidnapping is stealing, than it is death for breaking
~Death for kidnapping

COMMANDMENT 10
Exodus 20:17
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
To covet = To Lust = adultery
~Teaching about Adultery
Matthew 5:27-30 (Listen to jesus)
27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.
28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 So if your eye—even your good eyel—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
****So, jesus claims that looking at a woman and having lust = adultery
Lust = coveting your neighbor’s wife = adultery
***Jesus says divorce, to lust after a woman, and to covet your neighbor’s wife, are all equal to adultery. As we saw in COMMANDMENT 7, jesus commands death for adultery.
***So jesus commands killing for breaking all 10 commandments and he proudly chiseled it in stone..
Are the 10 commandments relevant to the 21st century? Are they moral to human standards?
