If you do not follow the 10 Commandments, god says you hate him and he will punish your children to the third and fourth generation, because he is so jealous:
Exodus 20:5-6 (New International Version)
5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Exodus 20:7

Mark 3:28-29

Fourth Commandment

Fifth Commandment

You shall not murder.

Romans 13:9
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Seventh Commandment
Exodus 20:14
“You shall not commit adultery.”

You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

Tenth Commandment
Exodus 20:17
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
New Testament:
Romans 7:7
What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.
